President Obama Thinks He Rules By Divine Right

petty and tiny

Basically Obama’s reaction anyone asking him if maybe he should actually follow the constitution on…well…anything.

NBC news reported less than 12 hours ago that the plan Obama has for starting World War III is still in the works.

The U.S. could hit Syria with three days of missile strikes, perhaps beginning Thursday, in an attack meant more to send a message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad than to topple him or cripple his military, senior U.S. officials told NBC News on Tuesday.

The State Department fed the growing drumbeat around the world for a military response to Syria’s suspected use of chemical weapons against rebels Aug. 21 near Damascus, saying that while the U.S. intelligence community would release a formal assessment within the week, it was already “crystal clear” that Assad’s government was responsible.

They aren’t planning to get the UN’s permission (both Bush’s did that), since Russia (an Assad ally) would never let that happen, and they may not even bother with congressional approval.  I mean, if he hasn’t bothered to get it yet, who thinks he’s going to bother now?

As the U.S. prepares for a possible military strike on Syria, more than three dozen lawmakers – among them a handful of Democrats – demanded the Obama administration consult them, saying taking action without congressional approval is unconstitutional.

“While the founders wisely gave the office of the president the authority to act in emergencies, they foresaw the need to ensure public debate – and the active engagement of Congress – prior to committing U.S. military assets,” the 37 congressmen and women wrote to President Barack Obama on Tuesday. “Engaging our military in Syria when no direct threat to the United States exists and without prior congressional authorization would violate the separation of powers that is clearly delineated in the Constitution.”

Don’t be ridiculous you silly little congress people. The high lord Obama has no need of your silly “congressional approval”. He needs no “permission” from you.

Didn’t Joe Biden say, in 2007, that if President Bush attacked Iran without Congressional Approval that this was an “impeachable offense”?

Oh yes, yes he did:

Matthews: You said that if the President of the United States had launched an attack on Iran without congressional approval that would have been an impeachable offense. Do you want to review that comment you made? Well how do you stand on that now?

Biden:Yes I do. I want to stand by the comment I made. The reason I made the comment was as a warning. I don’t say those things lightly, Chris, you’ve known me for a long time. I was chairman of the judiciary committee for 17 years or its ranking member. I teach separation of powers and constitutional law. This is something I know. So I got together and brought a group of constitutional scholars together to write a piece that I’m going to deliver to the whole United State Senate pointing out the President has no constitutional authority…to take this nation to war against a county of 70 million people unless we’re attacked or unless there is proof we are about to be attacked.

I’m sure they’ll be changing their tune for new ones with lyrics like “we didn’t engage in hostilities we just bombed the shit out of them” and “but they were using chemical weapons”. They have about as much proof that Assad (not the rebels, who the UN was blaming for chemical weapon use in May of this year…strangely the Obama administration kept backing that horse in this race) used Chemical weapons as Bush did of WMDs in Iraq (hmm, I wonder where Syria got chemical weapons…), but now liberals are being very conspicuously quiet about Obama pulling another strangely Bush-like (only worse) trick out of his hat.

Never mind, I forgot that Obama was a god.

    • I’ve explained this countless times and I’ll explain it once more for your dumb ass.
It’s not going to war that I have an issue with, ask me if I’m a “neocon” and you’ll get a “fuck yeah” as response, I reject the idea of going to war for no good reason, with no plan, and in a place and time where the blowback will be severe.

      You know, common sense things.
