Employees Should Be Fired If They Won’t Do Their Job: Democrat Kim Davis Pisses Me Off

Imagine for a moment that you have a party coming up, let’s say it’s a Halloween party. You realize that you need snacks, food, and most importantly booze (clearly the most important part of any Halloween party) so you head for the local supermarket.

You get there and you fill your cart with mounds of food and cases of beer and you head for the only open cash register. You get there and the cashier starts to ring up your purchases, she gets past the hamburger meat, the potato chips, the bags of candy, and then reaches the booze. She stops, looks at it in horror and tells you that she can’t ring you up for the alcohol. You ask why, she says that she’s a mormon and that alcohol is against her religion. You explain that you don’t want her to drink it, you just want her to ring it up and let you purchase it. This goes back and forth for a bit, until the argument catches the managers eye and he comes over. He tells the cashier to ring up the purchase, she refuses, he asks why, she explains.

“Yes, but we sell alcohol here. This is your job!”

“But when I took the job we were a dry county, I didn’t have to sell alcohol.” (For those of you who don’t know, a dry county is an inexplicable patch of land that is surrounded by hundreds of liquor stores that spring up just over the county line, surrounding the county like buzzards).

“Well we aren’t a dry county now and your job is to ring up purchases, not approve them morally.”

“I’m sorry, I can’t do that.”

“Well then I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to fire you.”

This, to me, is reasonable. If you are hired to do a job and something changes and makes it impossible for you do that job, it’s hardly the employers job to keep you employed. You have the option to quite that job and find a new one, or be fired for not doing your job. The option you do not have is to sit back and get payed while someone else does part of your job for you.

This is the case with Kim Davis. She took a job that she wanted to do, but things changed and she couldn’t change with them and so just stopped doing it. The only difference being that she can’t just be fired because she is an elected official, so she has to be impeached. Which means that instead of this issue being handled quickly, as in the above story, it will drawn out through the media for months as a result.

Even If God Doesn’t Make Mistakes, Sometimes Our Genes Do

geneti3Every time a well known transgendered person comes out of the proverbial closet and publicly transitions from one gender to the other the “social conservatives”, or, as I call them, Progressives for Jesus start in with the phrase “god doesn’t make mistakes” to justify why they don’t believe that being transgendered is a real thing.

But here’s the thing, God may not make mistakes, but clearly somewhere along the line our DNA strands get a little tangled.

Conservatives, Stop Answering Irrelevant Questions About Gay People.

choiceIs homosexuality a choice?

Well as a lesbian let me tell you, it’s not. I’m not going to get into the ‘TMI’ part of explaining how I know that for certain, but suffice to say I shopped and bought on both sides of the store and only one side had any outfits that worked.

But I’m not here to bash you over the head with that. I’m used to the fact that not everyone is going to agree with me all the time and I don’t care whether you think I was born this way or chose it.

What I am here to say is that, for real conservatives, that question should be the most irrelevant question in the world.

When I talk about conservative beliefs I mean beliefs that center around small government and freedom, just like our Founding Fathers would have wanted. Now our Founding Fathers did come from a time where being gay was not socially acceptable, but they also didn’t build our government or our constitution around their particular views of morality on specific issues.

They did this for a reason.

No matter what the societal expectations may be, the government should not be created to enforce those views.

The Founding Fathers valued freedom, so did all the other people who fought to create this country. They wanted a government that interfered as little as possible in the lives of the people it governed.

“Give me liberty or give me death” ring any bells?

So here’s the thing. I don’t care if you think being gay is a choice or an immutable genetic fact or just a “phase” because the only answer that should cross your lips when asked “do you believe being gay is a choice?” should be:

I believe in freedom and the rights of the individual to live as they wish as long as they aren’t harming anyone else. Whether it’s choice or not, they should have that freedom.

That’s it.

That’s the answer.

And if you can’t answer it that way, you aren’t really a conservative and I certainly don’t need you in government if you aren’t capable of putting the individual liberty of the people ahead of your own personal views on a topic.

Is homosexuality a choice? Who cares, because I’m free to choose if it is. It shouldn’t change anything for conservatives, because freedom (even for those we disagree with) is the entire reason we fight.

Apparently All My Republican Friends Hate Me

The juvenile conspiracy theories that liberals come up with when faced with gay conservatives are getting more and more absurd. Liberals seem to assume that the Republican party is a seething mass of homophobia, just looking for someone to lynch, no matter how many Republicans befriend gay conservatives.

The other day I was told “The only reason conservatives wont insult you is because they need their token members like you gays to say “hey look, we have gayz too!” Are you that gullible??”

Grow The F*ck Up: The UCLA Remix

Seems like someone needs to teach this class at UCLA.

Seems like someone needs to teach this class at UCLA.

It’s not the first, nor will it be the last, time that I’ve brought up and condemned the childish, illegal, and unethical tactics of the left, but the “Grow The F*ck” series is beginning to be a favorite of mine. Mostly because it gives me an excuse to tear up the childish temper tantrums of liberal college students.

So here was go again.

This time it’s campus preachers, again, that are being targeted. Last time it was a preacher at one of my local universities and this week we are moving from Phoenix, Arizona to UCLA in Los Angeles, California.

Grow the F*ck Up

1345397495569_2924308Saw a video that was recorded at the college I used to attend, Arizona State, where a student assaulted and screamed obscenities at a preacher who was standing on the sidewalk near the student union with a sign that said something like:

WARNING
MASTURBATORS
THIEVES LIARS
DRUNKARDS
FORNICATORS
HOMOSEXUALS
JUDGEMENT DAY

The college kid (so somewhere between 18 and 22 most likely) threw a fit that I wouldn’t have let a 4 year old get away with and he or she, it’s hard to tell from the video, is lucky the preacher didn’t press charges. He was far nicer than I would have been, if they had assaulted me this kid would have been in for a hard lesson on the fact that there are consequences when you physically assault someone. I doubt they will learn to grow up any other way.

Here, watch for yourself. Be warned, it’s got a lot of vulgar language.

An Open Letter: Ronald Reagan, The Big Tent, and Why the Gender I Sleep With Shouldn’t Determine My Suitability As a Republican Leader

A Message To The Republicans Who Care More About Someone’s Sexual Preference Than They Do Their Political Beliefs

The short version of this message is: were you born that stupid or did you just get hit on the head repeatedly as a child?

I don’t usually have a problem with these types, generally they come out in the comments sections of articles and have slightly better grammar (but comparable intelligence levels…okay, maybe that’s not fair) to the youtuber commentators who shout FAG!!!!111!1! at videos they don’t like.  Sometimes there’s the occasional  “conservative” blogger, talking head, or candidate, but they tend to get smacked down pretty quickly.

Other times, however, their stupid ideas need to be discussed out in the open. I’m talking about people who say things like:
